Today's prompt was to create a homophonic translation of a poem in a foreign language that you do not speak. I chose this poem from Ida Börjel.
AFTER LEMONADE
or else, or else,
a garden overgrown—
after lemonade and a tiny minute,
I find I’m alive.
the barren left gloved hand
fingers the hyacinth
with some intent. some, intent,
with answers ungiven,
come lacking wants,
come with their milk hearts,
all loss. Taste, taste hyacinth
and first buds, that slept under sun,
idle and innocent. at once
I live an almost red,
unbroken, and soft lit.
